I called in today for wash and blow dry the girl said she could give me a trainee at reduced rate so I when with this thinking they would have to know how to blow dry. The guy started to dry my hair which is quite wavey and strong so not the easiest to blow dry but really this guy hadn't a clue. I asked how long was he doing hair dressing he said 3 years. He realised I was not happy and asked me what way I wanted him to do my hair after 30mins of messing about with the hair brush. I told him to just leave it and went to get my coat the girl who took the booking told me to seat down and she would get someone to look over my hair. The girl who came to my rescue did a good job thank you. But I did not even get sorry from any member of staff just charged €20 . Definitely would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Good value, generally on time with friendly staff. Usually pretty happy with results whether a blow-dry, up style or cut.

As for me, I have always been happy with the results from this salon. The stylist I usually see, Claire, has done great work with my hair which had previously been badly damaged in a different salon. It's worth noting that they have happily accepted same day bookings on many occasions for whatever I needed done on the day. I also like to use this salon when I need a professional wash and blow dry because its never too expensive and I get great results. I readily recommend this salon to friends and have noticed that it does a steady trade with some of the trendier locals so I cannot understand from where the two bad reviews are originating. The other two reviewers seem to me to be reviewing a completely different place. I see that Violet Hair and Beauty is in one of the photos here so perhaps that is the salon to which the other two reviewers are referring.

Asked for my already lightened ends to be touched up and brightened with toner and asked that bleach not be put higher up then was already as I'm growing my hair. Colourist didn't listen and started painting bleach on my hair up above my ear line. After questioning the amount of bleach she argued she knew what she was doing and it was to break up the blonde, at the basin she realised she had messed up, my hair was orange, and 70% of my hair was no bleached (apart from the bottom ends of my hair being previously bleached the rest of my hair was natural brown with no colouring) she went over again with more bleach and toner and when she got to blow drying stage my hair was orange with caramel tones. At this stage the salon was closed and I had been there for 3 hours, I left even before my cut, and was told I could come back for it to be fixed. When I came back a week later, a toner was put on my hair by another employee and was trimmed and styled, I was happy enough leaving on the revisit because the new stylist had masked the orange with a toner, which was blended so badly you could see the thick lines where my natural colour ended and bleach started (it was so bad friends and family thought I had bleached myself at home) when I was leaving the receptionist quoted €127 as the bill fee, I did I wasn't happy to pay, although my hair was nice leaving the 2nd time, it was still not what I originally asked for and my hair is going to take months to get back to its original state, never mind how bad service was. I asked to speak to a manager, when she arrived she said that the salons policy is to keep redoing your hair until you're happy but then you have to pay, after and uncomfortable 10 minutes having to argue my case she offered a discount and then finally to wave the costs, which was extremely embarrassing.

Two weeks later the toner was gone and I was back to orange tones throughout and the quality of my hair is now destroyed, frazzled from so much bleach. I had to go to a new salon, and the manager was so horrified she brought her trainees is over to show them how not to colour. I had to go a dark brown to try get sole hair quality back and have 2 inches cut from hair.

Worst experience and service, will never go back.

Not good at all. They were running 20min late and the "stylist" didn't know how to cut men's hair. It took her almost an hour and had no idea of what she was doing. Never going back
